Latest News – New Website Launch

For the past few months behind the scenes myself and the Vagingit Team have been working hard on this latest update.

We spoke at length with many of you in a bid to understand what had gone wrong. We asked for your ideas of how we could make the community better. Today, we start putting things right and lay the foundation for 2015 and beyond.

We started with our branding and a new logo was created to encapsulate what our community is all about.  We are really pleased with it and we hope you are too.

The shield represents our community, the Wolfsburg castle denotes our Volkswagen heritage and the prancing horse is Invicta the mascot of Kent. We have been working on a range of merchandise that will be sold to raise funds for the community. A selection of prototypes can be seen in the image below.

You told us that the community felt disorganised, that you didn’t know who to turn to for help or to suggest ideas. To address this we have put together a new website that outlines who we are and what we do as a community.

You asked us for a more mobile friendly forum that would enable you to upload pictures to posts without having to use a service like photo bucket. You can now upload images and place them directly in posts by using the upload attachment button.

We’ve included a section about the team who run vagingit behind the scenes.  They are as excited as I am with what 2015 will hold for us as a community.

Here is a link just in case you don’t know who they are http://www.vagingit.co.uk/index.php#our-team

We have also created a blog which we hope to use to bring you information about the many great things that are going on in and around Kent including photos of you at Coffee & Cars.

And our new photo gallery makes catching up on the events you’ve missed super easy.

You asked us to organise more club stands at shows and it is our intention to support as many local events as we can in 2015.  We will be looking to purchase some new banners and flags to reflect our new branding and make us stand out at the shows we attend.

We are positive that with your continued support the community is going to be an incredible place to call home.

Thanks again for sticking with us,

Andy
